Shermaine Slocombe is a multi-disciplinary participatory artist and educator, experienced in engaging young people in ambitious creative learning projects. Adopting different disciplines and embracing a hybrid of materials she inspires participants to be open to new experiences, appreciate a different point of view to foster positive interactions with others. She has worked in the education sector for over 16 years, devising and producing, authentic artistic experiences and immersive projects for both Primary and Secondary students to spark wonder, curiosity and investigation. She has extensive experience of delivering workshops, CPD for teachers and designing resources for A New Direction, Complicitė, Emergency Exit Arts and Royal Museums Greenwich.
